定冠词的五种特指用法
定冠词 “the” 在英语中有五种特定的使用方式:
- 特指已知事物: The cat that we adopted is very playful.(我们收养的那只猫非常好玩。)
- 特指独一无二的事物: The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.(太阳从东方升起,西方落下。)
- 特指上下文中已提及的事物: I saw a dog. The dog was chasing its tail.(我看到了一只狗。那只狗在追逐自己的尾巴。)
- 特指独特的事物类别: The tiger is an endangered species.(老虎是一种濒危物种。)
- 特指乐器、船舶等: She plays the piano.(她弹钢琴。)

(1) 特指前面已提到的人或物:

(2) 特指说话双方都知道或能体会到的人或物:
Why not ask the teacher? 为什么不问问老师?

(3) 用于带后置定语的名词前,表示特定的人或物:
